My dear Qi Gong friends:
In this May newsletter, I would like to share some tips to improve your health and remind you to join our Spring Qi Gong/Tai Chi events (see attachments). Also I would like you to help us promote our upcoming events and help more people to attain good health and happiness. In addition, I would like to invite those who have completed the beginner course to attend our ongoing Saturday drop-in class. Practicing Qi Gong in a class setting makes it easier to remember the correct movements and allows you to learn more advanced methods which are even more powerful in improving your health. Practicing Qi Gong with others who are on the same path makes the healing energy from the group much stronger.
In mid-March, I was aware that many people were sick with stomach flu in Toronto and Ottawa. One of our practitioners in Toronto caught the stomach flu from her mother who lives in a nursing home which was later placed in quarantine. Her daughter and her boyfriend became very sick for over two weeks. She tried all her resources to heal it, but nothing seemed to help. I showed her how to channel the fire energy to strengthen the Stomach and she was able to recover in 4 days.
According the five element theory, the Earth element (with stomach and spleen) is weakened or constrained by the Wood element (with Liver) which is very strong in Spring. That is the reason many people get stomach flu in Spring. The Fire element strengthen the Earth and thus improves Stomach complaints.
Since Qi Gong is a self-healing practice, a body and mind training, it places a great amount of impor tance on controlling emotions and having a peace ful lifestyle. It can help you manage your stress and release unwanted emotions, improve your con fidence, wisdom, happiness, energy, and immune system. As result it has the power to heal most of our health complaints and provide benefits for everybody. It can improve performance for workers, teachers, students, job seekers, sport practitioners, professionals and health service providers. Qi Gong training provides you a calm mind with wisdom, happiness and a positive mentality with plenty energy and confidence to help you to make good financial and daily decisions. It is an excellent tool to manage your unbalanced emotions and help you to maintain good relationships with the people around you.
The Spring issue of Tone Magazine has an article (see attachment) about my treatment of a person who was in a coma for 11 days. It illustrates the healing power of Qi Gong.
